For the first time I was able to do dips with my own body weight! Dips have always been the one thing in the gym I fear and avoid. Today I had a birthday workout with my bday boyfriend. He loves dips… I had to face my fear for dips and I managed to do 2 sets of body weighted dips. Fair enough, only 6 the first time and 5 the second, but I did it!! And I will do more!
Today’s training;
15min intervals – 2min at 10kmph with 1 min between 16.5-17.5 kmph 5 times
2 sets of pull ups with body weight (11, 8)
2 sets of body weight dips (6, 5)
2 sets of leg raises from a pull up bar (14, 12)
I ❤ training. Some fitsporation for my quest to manage to do at least 3 sets of 10 body weight dips to trim my triceps:

Last week it was st least 15 minutes of exercise a day. Did you all fit that in?
This week is different. I’ve felt increasingly stressed lately, hence this week the challenge is to spend at least 15 minutes a day de-stressing. It may be taking a bath, reading a book or going for a walk. Whatever makes you relaxed. For me its definitely a book. I’ve been reading the first Game of Thrones for a very long time now and hoping to have it finished by the end of this week. I’m going to spend whatever free time I have to get lost in the world of ice and fire.

I don’t do Sunday roasts, I do Sunday runs. Sundays are normally the only day I am able to go for a run outdoors, as I don’t live in the best of areas I avoid running in the dark. Hence I try to make the most of my Sunday run enjoying the fresh air. This Sunday I clocked in 50 minutes and 5.7 miles. I’m slowly getting back into my running.:-)
How do you spend your Sundays?

5 rounds on time:
6 handstand push ups
12 chest to bar pull ups
20 walking lunges.
19 minutes and 30 seconds of pure muscle workout.
Yesterday: sore fore arms and tired legs
Today: sore glutes and a satisfied smile.
Make every workout count regardless of length. if your effort that matters.

So far this week I have done 250 minutes of training. I have mixed everything from pole fitness, running, intervals, crossfit, NIKE training club workouts and yoga/dynamic stretching.
I can highly recommend the NIKE training club. Is fun, challenging and you can sync your own music. I have an android phone and could download it for free, I think it’s available for a small cost on iPhones. It’s worth it, it’s so worth it! You get everything from beginners to advanced, 15 minutes to full workouts. Badges to work towards to give you some inspiration. Cardio, toning and strength. I love it! see the link for more info: http://www.nike.com/gb/en_gb/c/womens-training/apps/nike-training-club

I paid my student loan off! No more debt… Until I go back to uni… The plan is to start a masters in physiotherapy either in September or January.
I’m proud to be 22 and have paid my loan off. Hard work and saving money pays off. Throughout my time at university I had at least one part time job. However, I feel sorry for the kids at uni now who face tuition fees that are up to 9 grand. Hello to an elitist society. I would never have been able to go to university if this had been the case when I started. I’m not surprised if this leads to a further class division. Why punish intelligence?

Sometimes all I want after a long week is to chill and think positively. I say hello to the weekend despite working tomorrow.

At the moment work is taking up the majority of my day and it is also slowly destroying my sole from the inside (to be dramatic). It is just that time of the year. So to not let it get to me I try to focus on the things that matter and make thing easier.
So today’s…
nicest and happiest moment: Morning cuddle with the Mr.
most enjoyable moment: that 45 min intense NIKE killer workout
most peaceful moment: stretching and doing some yoga poses
Most random moment: seeing Nottingham’s youth running around in oncies or short shorts (so short they show half of the bum cheeks…). The whole town was full of them!
most needed moment: that coconut water after my workout
most satisfying moment:to have got all my references for Uni appliactions
Most exciting moment: to hopefully have got a yoga teaching slot at Pole Palais
See life isn’t that bad. Looking at those lovely things in my surrounding makes it possible to go through the tough bits.
